This short-lived perennial or biennial grows 2-3 feet tall with a spread of 12-14 inches wide. Multiple spikes of flowers are held above the rosette of leaves in late spring to mid-summer. The tubular white flowers of Dalmatian White Foxglove are striking. Each bell-shaped flower is freckled with deep violet spots, making them an interesting addition to any flower garden.

Dalmatian White Foxglove is a mainstay in cottage gardens. Its racemes of nectar-rich blossoms attract bees and hummingbirds. The tall, sturdy flowers are ideal for use in floral arrangements. Plant Dalmatian White Foxglove in mixed borders and mass plantings. This classic perennial is perfect for planting in front of evergreen shrubs and fences. It also makes an eye-catching thriller in container arrangements.

Dalmatian White Foxglove Care

Dalmatian White Foxglove can be grown in full sun to partial shade. Grow this low-maintenance plant in moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Water Dalmation White Foxglove whenever the soil is dry. It benefits from an annual application of a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring.

Dalmatian White Foxglove should be deadheaded after flowering to extend the blooming season and to control self-seeding. If self-seeding is desired, leave a few spent flower spikes on the plant. Mulching the plant will help protect it through winter while conserving soil moisture. If growing Dalmatian White Foxglove in containers, move the pot to a sheltered, unheated location in winter.

Dalmatian White Foxglove Spacing

Dalmatian White Foxglove readily self-seeds and looks great when planted in clusters. Space this perennial 12-14 inches apart, planting closer together for mass plantings.
