The large dark brown seed pods will provide fall interest in your garden. Decadence Deluxe 'Blue Bubbly' False Indigo will thrive in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9. This tall perennial will grow to between 48 and 54 inches tall with a 40-to-48-inch spread.
This North American native plant attracts bees and butterflies. It’s deer resistant and can tolerate drought and salt. Use this upright plant in border gardens filled with perennials or mixed plants. This easy to grow false indigo has average watering and soil fertility requirements. It is drought tolerant once established except during periods of extended drought. It can grow in acidic or neutral soils.
This perennial typically lives for many years with little to no maintenance. Deadheading is not required.
