Dreameria® Dream Clouds Thrift (Armeria pseudarmeria 'Dream Clouds') offers a lovely display of white, ball-shaped blossoms on upright stems that emerge from a tidy clump of green foliage. These captivating blooms appear repeatedly from spring all the way into fall, lending a fresh and airy accent to borders, rock gardens, and container arrangements. Its compact form, reaching about 10–12 inches tall and wide, suits both small gardens and patio plantings. Unlike many spring-only Thrift varieties, Dreameria® Dream Clouds brings color through multiple seasons, making it a standout choice for any sun-filled landscape.
This charming perennial was developed for extended bloom time and adaptability. It tolerates heat well once established, while its deer resistance helps keep flowers intact for continuous enjoyment. Even mild frosts won’t disrupt its floral show, making it a reliable option in climates with variable temperatures. Whether used in mass plantings for a striking sweep of white or tucked into edges and containers for a soft accent, Dreameria® Dream Clouds delivers low-maintenance elegance.
Dreameria® Dream Clouds Thrift Care
Dreameria® Dream Clouds Thrift thrives in full sun, though it can handle partial shade in hot climates. For the best performance, select well-drained soil—overly wet ground may hamper growth. Moderate yet consistent watering is ideal, allowing the topsoil to dry before adding more moisture. A light application of granular or water-soluble fertilizer once every month in garden beds encourages lush growth and prolific blooming.
Deadheading spent blooms every few weeks boosts more flower production. If the plant appears unruly, gently trim away old or dying stems. Come late fall, remove dead leaves to keep it neat through the dormant period. In containers, remove spent flowers regularly to maintain a clean appearance and promote new buds.
Dreameria® Dream Clouds Thrift Spacing
Space Dreameria® Dream Clouds Thrift about 12 to 14 inches apart to allow for airflow and healthy development when creating a border or mass planting. For container gardens, a pot around 8 to 12 inches in diameter provides ample room for one mature plant, or you can group multiple plants in a larger container to craft a charming mixed arrangement.
