Easy Bee-zy™ Knock Out Rose Tree brings the familiar nonstop bloom of Knock Out® roses into a lifted form that adds height, structure, and color in one plant. This grafted selection matures around 4 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide, so it works as a patio focal point or garden anchor in a way the standard shrub form cannot. Rosa Easy Bee-zy™ Knock Out® 'SRPylwko' is especially useful for shoppers who want the durability of a landscape rose but need something more architectural than a rounded mound. We often point customers to the tree form when they want rose color near an entry or seating area without giving up underplanting space below.
The single yellow flowers have an open center that gives bees and butterflies easier access than many fuller roses. Blooms appear from spring until frost and carry a light citrus fragrance, enough to notice at close range without overpowering a small patio. The green foliage stays cleaner than many traditional hybrid teas thanks to strong resistance to black spot and mildew. The rounded canopy and trunk add a formal note that suits front entries, paired containers, mixed borders, and pollinator-focused plantings.
Easy Bee-zy™ Knock Out Rose Tree Care
Grow Easy Bee-zy™ Rose Tree in full to partial sun, ideally with at least 5 hours of direct light, in fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. The soil should drain well but still hold enough moisture to support steady flowering. Avoid low spots where water lingers around the roots or around the grafted trunk.
Water deeply once or twice a week while the plant is getting established, then adjust based on heat, rainfall, and how quickly the top few inches of soil dry out. Feed in early spring with an organic fertilizer or rose food, and repeat during the growing season if blooming slows. This rose tree will drop its leaves in winter, and in colder zones the trunk and graft union benefit from extra insulation and a heavy mulch layer.
In early to mid spring, prune to shape the rounded head and remove dead, weak, or crossing wood. During the season, cut spent blooms back to a strong outward-facing leaf, especially one with several leaflets, to keep new flowering growth coming. Container-grown plants may need winter shelter in cold climates, since the graft is more exposed above ground than on a shrub rose.
Easy Bee-zy™ Knock Out Rose Tree Spacing
Space Easy Bee-zy™ Knock Out Rose Tree about 3 feet apart when planting in a row, though individual specimens deserve a bit more breathing room when used as focal points. For containers, choose a pot at least 18 to 24 inches wide with good drainage and enough weight to steady the trunk.
In the landscape, pair it with larkspur and allium to enhance the pollinator appeal while giving the yellow flowers cooler-toned contrast at the base. In containers, use alyssum and verbena beneath the canopy, where they soften the pot edge and leave the rose head as the clear centerpiece.
