The Endless Summer Twist-n-Shout Hydrangea, Hydrangea macrophylla 'PIIHM-I', is the first reblooming lacecap hydrangea! Plant this smaller hydrangea shrub in areas with partial shade, as too much sun can burn this plant up. The blooms on this beautiful plant range from periwinkle blue to deep pink, depending on the soil PH. The reblooming shrub will be covered in flowers from late spring all the way through late fall.
Besides having incredible looking blooms, the stems on this plant are red and add another aspect to your garden landscape. The stems are also really sturdy and help support the blooms through the hot summer.
These shrubs are also great for growing in containers due to their long bloom time, compact size, and sunlight requirements. Just be sure to water frequently when growing these in planters, as they will dry out easier than if planted in the ground.
Endless Summer Twist-n-Shout Hydrangea Care
Be sure to plant these in a partial shade location. Meaning it gets around 2-4 hours of sun. Make sure the soil is nutrient rich, but also well drained. These plants like moist soil conditions, but cannot stay wet because it will get root rot. These shrubs should also not require pruning either. But if you must prune, be sure to prune off old flowers during the growing season.
Endless Summer Twist-n-Shout Hydrangea Spacing
Plant these shrubs 5 feet apart on center. Plant a little closer if you want to try making a small and short hedge for added impact in the landscape. These are compact shrubs, and will make a great addition to any garden!
