How do you improve upon a native wildflower that’s already practically perfect in every way? Make the flowers bigger and brighter! The bright coral pink flowers of Eye Catcher Coral Craze coneflower add even more to love to this tough, drought-tolerant, pollinator-friendly and drop-dead gorgeous North American wildflower. Eye Catcher Coral Craze coneflower blooms through most of the summer and makes beautiful, long-lasting cut flowers. They also have a delightful fragrance, so be sure to keep a steady stream of these coneflowers in bouquets all summer long!
Coneflower adapts well to hot, windy, and sunny locations, so it’s a great choice for bringing color to exposed locations in your landscape. They are a popular choice for pollinator, wildflower, native, and cottage gardens. Butterflies enjoy visiting these bright flowers. Eye-Catcher Coral Craze would be a great addition to any garden, especially because it is adaptable to most conditions in Zones 4-8.
Eye-Catcher Coral Craze Coneflower Care
Like other coneflowers, Eye Catcher is easy to care for and low maintenance. It does well in a variety of soil types and soil pH. Coneflower does require at least 4 hours of sunlight per day, and does best in average to dry soil. Regular watering is helpful as the plant becomes established, but is not required after the plant is established.
Regular pruning is not required to keep this coneflower looking beautiful. Some deadheading or trimming of old flowers can encourage continued bloom. Cut it back in early spring as new growth emerges.
Eye-Catcher Coral Craze Coneflower Spacing
Coneflowers are hardy mid-sized perennials that have a healthy spread of up to 28”. Plant them 26-28” apart.
