Get excited! The Fairytrail Bride™ Cascade Hydrangea (Hydrangea x) is considered a new class of hydrangea that produces long green stems with bouquets of white flowers at every leaf node! This beautiful plant blooms all summer long without requiring deadheading.

This cutting edge Hydrangea attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds all summer long. It looks good in hanging baskets, mixed containers, landscapes, cascading over retaining walls, as a specimen plant, and as a cut flower. It looks nice as a dried flower, as well. Fairytrail Bride™ Cascade Hydrangeas are primarily from Asia, but there are some types that are native to the Americas. These plants are hardy in zone 6-9b.

Fairytrail Bride Hydrangea Care

Fairytrail Bride™ Cascade Hydrangeas grow best in the sun, although they will grow in part shade. So provide at least 5 hours of direct sunlight. In hot areas, the plant appreciates a little afternoon shade. Hydrangeas need well-drained soil, or their roots may rot. When planting, work compost and a slow-release fertilizer for hydrangea into the soil. Fertilize in the spring for in-ground plants and in the spring and summer for hanging baskets or containers. Hydrangeas need to stay moist, so water deeply weekly or more, especially when the plant is getting established. An easy way to tell if the plant needs water is when the leaves start to droop.

These hydrangeas do not need pruning except for removing dead wood. Anything else will impact how much it blooms that year or the next. Cover the shallow roots of this plant with 2-3 inches of mulch to help them stay moist, add nutrients to the soil and protect the roots from harsh weather conditions.

Fairytrail Bride Hydrangea Spacing

Fairytrail Bride™ Cascade Hydrangeas can grow to four feet tall and four feet wide. They need their personal space, so space them four feet apart, center on center, or from other plants and structures. This will ensure the shrubs get enough sunlight and air circulation as well as room for the roots to grow when fully mature.
