The Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea offers classic Hydrangea blooms in a unique package. The long arching branches have an elegant form and are completely covered in blooms for several weeks from late spring into summer. Light green, lace-cap flower clusters have a delicate texture and engulf the shrub each spring. Dark green foliage with serrated edges gives the shrub a dense and lush appearance.
Use this Hydrangea in a mixed bed, border, or landscape. The rounded form and long-lasting blooms make for a stunning mass planting, or enjoy this shrub in a container for flexible placement options throughout an outdoor area. Trim the flowers to display in fresh or dried arrangements. This shrub is heat tolerant and holds up well in summer weather. Pollinators like bees and butterflies favor the delicate blooms. Grow the Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea in zones 6 through 9.
Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea Care
The ideal planting site will receive full to part sun. The Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea prefers rich, moist, and well-drained soil. New plants need consistent water to help the roots settle in. Acclimated shrubs have high water needs and require regular water, especially during a dry period. A thick layer of compost keeps the soil moist and reduces weeds. Fertilize in spring using a balanced plant food.
Remove dead or damaged growth at any time. Shape the Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea as needed in early spring.
Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea Spacing
The Fairytrail™ Green Cascade Hydrangea reaches 4 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide. Space shrubs 4 to 5 feet apart when creating a flowering hedge or continuous planting.
