The large and ornate peach blooms of the Fantasiatic Peach Lily will certainly inject bold color wherever you choose to plant it. Botanically known as Lilium asiatic Fantasiatic Peach, this lily grows to around 18 inches tall and blooms in early summer. As its name suggests, this lily is fantastic for year after year of intense color.
Considered low maintenance, the Fantasiatic Peach Lily needs little ongoing care. It is deer resistant and known to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. A hardy perennial, it is suited to growing in zones 3 to 8. Plant several of them either in a border or a pot for maximum impact. Fantasiatic Peach also makes a great cut flower.
Fantasiatic Peach Lily Care
The best blooms are produced when the Fantasiatic Peach Lily is grown in full sun. It prefers a moist yet loose and well-drained soil. You can encourage blooming by fertilizing with a general slow-release feed in spring. Water regularly, but allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between irrigations.
Remove the flowers as they fade. Once the stems and foliage yellow and die back, they can be cut back fully.
Fantasiatic Peach Lily Spacing
The Fantasiatic Peach Lily can reach 16 to 18 inches high and 12 to 14 inches across. When planting in a group, allow a spacing of 12 inches between plants.
