- Use As A Thriller In Containers
The pure pink blooms of the Floramore® Pink Azalea have to be seen to be believed. This stunning azalea, also known as Rhododendron 'Lazamorink', produces semi-double pink flowers with a red spotted throat. First blooming in spring, it will then rebloom throughout the summer until the fall. A compact azalea, it grows to around 3 feet tall.
The Floramore® Pink Azalea is more tolerant of sun than many other azaleas, which makes it handy for a variety of locations. A low-maintenance shrub, this azalea rarely needs any pruning. Striking evergreen foliage provides a perfect backdrop for the bright pink blooms. This azalea is well suited for growing in a mixed border or along a driveway or path. It also performs well in a container.
Floramore® Pink Azalea Care
The Floramore® Pink Azalea is happy in either partial shade or full sun if the soil is kept moist. It prefers fertile, moist, acidic soil that is well drained. Applying fertilizer is not strictly necessary if the soil is rich. However, an ericaceous-specific fertilizer can be applied sparingly after the flowers fade. Water frequently until established, allowing the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Minimal pruning, if any is needed as the Floramore® Pink Azalea keeps to a neat shape. However, you can lightly trim after the flowers finish to encourage new growth. Mulch annually to prevent moisture loss with organic matter such as pine straw.
Floramore® Pink Azalea Spacing
Over time, the Floramore® Pink Azalea can grow to 3 feet all over. Space multiple specimens around 3 to 4 feet apart depending on the desired look.
