The brightest Abelia of them all! The foliage speaks for itself. It has Golden new growth that emerges from caramel-orange mature foliage. In the summer it blooms purple flowers that are fragrant and sure to attract pollinators. It will grow well in you sun or shade garden!

The foliage is breathtaking. It is a golden yellow, and orange. The blooms it produces are a light purple and being to appear in the summer and last through fall. The blooms produce a sweet fragrance that is attractive to pollinators of all kinds. The Funshine Abelia grows to a height of twenty-four inches. Its spread reaches up to thirty-six inches. Plant this Abelia as a border plant, or as a thriller in containers. It will do well with mass planting and as an edging plant. It is sure to be a loved addition to any landscape.

Funshine Abelia Care

Albelias are easy to care for. The Funshine Abelia is no different. Plant in full sun or part shade and ensure it receives 4 hours of sun a day, minimum. Plant in moist, well-drained soil. It has average water needs. The Funshine Abelia can tolerate all soils and different PH levels. Fertilizer should be applied in the spring. Heavy pruning is not recommended. Light trimming can be done to shape in the spring after new growth begins to appear.
