Growing Zones
To make a bold statement in your next landscape design, add some Girard’s Fashion Evergreen Azaleas. These brightly colored evergreen bushes produce spectacular spring blooms that attract hummingbirds and other lively pollinators.
Topping out between 2’-4’ tall, you’ll want to be sure to allow plenty of room for each bush’s individual upward growth. You’ll also find a hefty spread, ranging between 3’-5’. Spring blooms produce rich red flowers to go along with year-round deep green foliage. Excellent in mass plantings, these bushes also make great accessory plants in woodland gardens.
Girard’s Fashion Evergreen Azalea Care
The recipe for a healthy Girard’s Fashion Evergreen Azalea is simple: at least partial sun and regular watering. However, during the first growth season, supplementary water will be necessary 2-3 times per week. As long as average soil conditions are in place, these bushes are capable of establishing hearty roots. That said, make sure the area is well-drained. Finally, these plants will struggle to survive in colder climates, so check your hardiness zone before purchasing.
Girard’s Fashion Evergreen Azalea Spacing
You’ll want to allow for 3’-5’ of spacing for each plant, as overcrowding can reduce the necessary sunlight needed for proper growth.
