The Green Gem Boxwood is a slow-growing broadleaf evergreen, but it is worth the wait thanks to its lovely color and easy-going nature. Also known as Buxus microphylla var. Japonica, this attractive perennial features glossy, dark-green, oval-shaped foliage evenly spaced along the branches. This shrub has a dense form and delivers year-round color.

Create a hedge, foundation planting, or topiary using the Green Gem Boxwood. This plant has an upright growth habit and a rounded form. This plant is cold hardy, and the foliage retains its vibrant green hue throughout the colder months.
