This rounded, compact plant produces dainty, white flower spikes held high above the contrasting foliage from late spring to summer.
A good choice for those moist areas that are preferred by this plant. It would do well in a shaded perennial border, along a garden path or as an underplanting to an ornamental tree such as an upright Japanese maple. This low maintenance, deer and disease resistant perennial is sure to brighten any spot it's planted in.
Guacamole Coral Bells Care
Planted in a well-drained, but moist fertile soil in a partial shade to shaded area this hardy perennial is sure to please. Recommended soil amendments of peat moss, and either cow manure or compost would be appreciated by this slightly acid loving plant.
Deadheading after flowering is not necessary but may be preferable to some gardeners to maintain the overall clean look of this stunning perennial. Semi-evergreen in a mild winter but the foliage will mostly die back to the ground where temperatures drop below freezing for an extended period of time. May do well in a pot or container as long as it is protected from freezing temperatures.
Guacamole Coral Bells Spacing
Maturing to 1 to 2 feet in height and width this perennial would look stunning planted along a shaded walkway or garden path. Grow it in your favorite container in a shaded spot on your front porch for a vibrant pop of green. Wherever this perennial is planted it is sure to please. Space these plants at least 12 inches apart, center on center, when creating a garden border. Give a little more space if you are mass planting and not trying to create an edge. That will provide enough air circulation and space for the roots to grow when the plants are mature in size.
