Keep summer going with the Honorine Jobert Windflower. Darling white flowers with rounded petals surrounding yellow centers bloom from August until October. The gently nodding flowers bloom on thin branching stems with dark green lobed foliage. This Windflower is a tall plant that can reach up to 4 feet tall and is a prolific bloomer.
This mounding perennial can be featured in beds, borders, or mass plantings. Since this Windflower tends to spread out, this plant is a natural groundcover. The white flowers can brighten up a landscape or provide striking contrast against other blooms or dark foliage. Plant in a bed with spring blooming plants because the vegetation will conceal the declining greenery of its neighbors without overtaking the space. Honorine Jobert Windflower grows as a perennial in USDA zones 4 through 8.
Honorine Jobert Windflower Care
The Honorine Jobert Windflower can grow in partial shade or full sun, but expect better results in partial shade. The soil must be well-draining, but otherwise, this adaptable plant can make due. Ideally, the soil should be slightly acidic. This perennial likes damp conditions, so plant in a naturally wet area or water often, especially if the plant is in full sun.
Feed this plant annually before the flowers emerge using a balanced fertilizer. Trim back all the growth after the first frost and cover the plant with mulch.
Honorine Jobert Windflower Spacing
The Honorine Jobert Windflower is a large, upright, mounded plant that can reach 36 to 48 inches tall. This plant will spread out 18 to 24 inches wide. Create a full planting by spacing Windflowers 15 to 20 inches apart.
