The flowers continue to come in waves and cover the shrub for an impressive, long-lasting show. Dark green, leathery foliage fills in the spaces between the flowers.
This shrub rose has a compact, rounded form and does not get very large, making it well suited to smaller areas. Plant the Icecap™ Landscape Shrub Rose near a foundation wall, create a low hedge, or grow it in a container for more flexible placement options on a deck or patio. Icecap™ Landscape Shrub Rose Care
Plant Icecap™ in full sun, in moist, well-drained soil that is slightly acidic and has high organic content. Water this shrub rose every other week or when the top couple inches of soil are dry. Keep this rose looking its best by applying fertilizer every few weeks during the spring and summer. Use a balanced plant food or a product formulated for roses.
Remove spent flowers to maintain a neat appearance and encourage more blooms. Prune this rose bush in late winter or early spring. Trimming the branches will promote more branching and create a dense and full shrub. Make cuts just above a leaf node.
