The leaves of the Acer palmatum dissectum gracefully hang from arching branches that give this darling tree a weeping look.
Plant this beauty in a bed, create a border or feature in a container. This fast-growing tree will quickly reach maturity and put on a lovely display each year. This tree has an upright growth habit and will grow 8 to 10 feet tall. The spreading branches will reach 10 to 12 feet wide. This darling tree makes a wonderful home to small animals and is favored by songbirds. Grow this plant as a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 8.
Inaba Shidare Weeping Japanese Maple Care
The Inaba Shidare Weeping Japanese Maple needs full sun to partial shade and has average water needs. Give the plant a drink weekly or when the top few inches of soil dry out. New trees will need regular water, but established plants can handle less frequent watering. Plant in rich, well-draining soil that is acidic to neutral.
Feed the Inaba Shidare Weeping Japanese Maple a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring. This tree naturally maintains a rounded shape and does not need to be pruned. Remove dead or damaged growth as needed.
