The Jack Frost Siberian Bugloss has deep green foliage with a silver overlay and deep green veins. In mid to late spring, baby blue blooms sprout out above its leaves on sturdy stems. This plant has a height of twelve to fifteen inches and a spread of the same. This is a very versatile plant for shady areas around your landscape. Plant as a border plant, add to your shady landscapes as a focal point, use for edging, ground cover, it also does well when mass planted.

The Jack Frost Siberian Bugloss should be grown in full shade. Some morning sun is tolerated as long as the soil remains consistently moist. Ensure soil is also well drained. Average to fertile soil should be used when planting. pH of the soil can range from alkaline to neutral. The Jack Frost Siberian Bugloss has consistent water needs. During the growing season, removing dead or tattered leaves to improve appearance. Do not remove leaves in the fall as it helps protect the plant in the winter. Mulch in the winter if desired. Division can take place in fall or spring. Fertilizer is not necessary as long as the soil is rich.
