Enjoy bold, eye-catching flowers throughout the spring and summer with the Ka-Pow® Colorful Phlox Collection. This curated assortment of plants includes Phlox paniculata Coral ('Balsukaco'), Lavender ('Balkapolav'), and White ('Balkapowi'). The dainty flowers bloom in large, globe-like clusters and overtake the plant when in bloom. Green foliage comes to a point and has a glossy sheen that gives the plant a lush and dense presence.
The pink, purple, and pure white flowers work well together and provide a cohesive look in a mixed bed or container. Phlox plants have an upright growth habit and add height to the front or middle of a mixed planting. Pollinators also enjoy the blooms and feed on the flowers. These Phlox plants are resistant to powdery mildew so they will look great all summer, even during humid weather. The Ka-Pow® Colorful Phlox Collection grows in zones 4 through 9.
Ka-Pow® Colorful Phlox Collection Care
Phlox needs full sun, so choose a spot that receives at least 6 hours of light. Plant in rich, moist soil that promotes drainage. Phlox plants need about one inch of water weekly, so water appropriately depending on rainfall. Feed the plant with a balanced fertilizer each spring.
Remove faded flowers for a tidy look and to promote continued blooming. Prune all growth to ground level after the first fall frost. Spread a layer of mulch to protect the roots from cold winter temperatures.
Ka-Pow® Colorful Phlox Collection Spacing
The Phlox in this collection stand 1 to 2 feet tall and wide. Plant Phlox 1 to 2 feet apart, center on center, to create a mass planting.
