Ka-Pow® Pink Garden Phlox will knock your socks off with its vibrant color and compact form. Also known as Phlox paniculata Ka-Pow® Pink, this perennial features large heads of electric pink flowers in summer. The flowers are fragrant and lovely in flower arrangements. It has attractive slender leaves that stay emerald green throughout the growing season. Best of all, this phlox is carefree and disease resistant.

This phlox is upright and highly branched, reaching 16 – 18 inches in height. It is deer and rabbit resistant, frost tolerant, and resistant to powdery mildew. It is cold hardy to zone 4 and will die back in the winter. The flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. Use this phlox in the middle of a perennial bed to add a punch of color mid-summer, or grow it in containers as the ‘thriller’ in hot color combinations.

Ka-Pow® Pink Garden Phlox Care

Ka-Pow® Pink should be planted in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. It prefers evenly moist, humus-rich soil, although it tolerates clay, dry and sandy soils. Water new plants regularly during the summer months, making sure the soil never dries out completely. Mulch plants with compost to protect the crowns from winter heaving.

Remove spent foliage in the spring. After blooming, cut the entire plant back by half.  Phlox can be divided every 3-5 years in spring or fall.

Ka-Pow® Pink Garden Phlox Spacing

When planting Ka-Pow® Pink in groups, space each plant approximately 16 inches apart, center on center. For container plantings, select a weather-resistant pot at least 16 inches in diameter with drainage holes.
