This big leaf hydrangea is impressive! The Hydrangea macrophylla 'LA Dreamin has blooms that are vivid and the colors are stunning varying from lavender, blue, and pink. It is a sturdy Hydrangea with an upright mounded habit. It blooms heavy on new and old wood. Soil supplementation is not needed for gorgeous color on this one!
The foliage that is paired with its stunning blooms is a deep green. The blooms that come from this hydrangea are bright and colorful. The colors range from a vivid violet blue to lavender and pink. The blooms are signature large, round blooms. This lovely hydrangea begins to bloom in the summer, and it will last through fall. It will reach a height of four feet and has a spread that is four feet. There are many uses for this hydrangea. It can be planted for use as a border plant or hedge to provide some privacy. It does well with mass planting and is an outstanding focal point. This is a great addition to entryways or along walkways. LA Dreamin Hydrangea Care
Plant the Hydrangea macrophylla 'LA Dreamin’ in full sun to partial shade. The cooler the climate the more sun it can tolerate. The warmer the climate the more shade it prefers. It has medium water needs. This hydrangea loves moist soil that is well drained. It needs to be watered regularly. In periods of drought be sure to provide more water. Mulch around the base in winter is preferable in cooler climates. The Hydrangea macrophylla 'LA Dreamin’ can tolerate soils with different Ph without affecting color.
