Lime Lovebird is the perfect name for this gorgeous hydrangea. When it blooms the flowers appear lime in color changing over to rosy pink. This mophead hydrangea is a strong rebloomer and pollinators love it! The Hydrangea macrophylla 'Lime Lovebird’ is definitely one you are going to want to add to your landscape!

The foliage of the Hydrangea macrophylla 'Lime Lovebird’ is s dark green. The blooms are lime and switch over to a deep bright pink. It is a strong rebloomer and has a bloom season that lasts from early June through September. The blooms are six to ten inches in size. This hydrangea reaches a height of up to four feet tall. The spread it has is also four feet. It has a mounded, upright growing habit that makes it a wonderful border plant or great for entry ways. It does well when planted in masses. You can plant this as a focal point for your yard or use its blooms in your next arrangement!

Lime Lovebird Hydrangea Care

This hydrangea prefers to be planted in partial sun. It loves the morning sun and enjoys afternoon shade. The soil should be well drained while remaining moist. The water level needed for this hydrangea is medium. Fertilizer should be applied in the early spring and be slow release. Deadheading will encourage stronger rebloom. Clean up any fallen foliage at the end of each season. Remove dead branches in early spring. The Hydrangea macrophylla 'Lime Lovebird can tolerate most soils and varying Ph levels. The higher the acidity the more blue the blooms. The more alkaline the soil the pinker the blooms.
