This dwarf ornamental tree bears fruit! This fig has a compact habit making it the most cold hardy fig while still bearing full size fruit. It is resistant to pests and tolerant to drought. It is easy to maintain and provides interest all year around!
The foliage of Little Miss Figgy Dwarf Fig is a right green and bears deep burgundy fruit in the spring and the fall. Fruit from the Little Miss Figgy Dwarf Fig has a sweet center. The dwarf deciduous grows to a height of four to eight feet with a spread of three to four feet. It makes a wonderful low hedge, does well when mass planted, can be planted for privacy purposes, in containers, or as an accent plant.
Little Miss Figgy Dwarf Fig Care
The Little Miss Figgy Dwarf Fig is a sun and heat loving plant and should be planted in full sun for best results. Soil should be well drained and moist. It can tolerate all soil types and different Ph levels. Water needs are average. Once established, it is tolerant to drought. Fertilizer should be applied yearly in the spring. Pruning is not necessary or needed but can be trimmed if desired in the winter.
