Love & Peace® Rose is an alluring rose that will provide you with endless flushes of flowers from early summer to fall! This incredible hybrid tea rose has multicolored flowers – the outer petals are flushed with pink, while the center petals shine yellow. Each stem produces a single large flower with a lovely fragrance. Love & Peace® Rose grows 4-5 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.
Love & Peace® Rose’s neat, upright form makes it easy to squeeze into many gardens. Take advantage of this rose’s repeat-blooming status by growing several together for an endless mass of flowers. Love & Peace® Rose is a must-have for cottage gardens and formal gardens alike, and it can even be grown in containers. Its showy flowers are perfect for cutting. As a bonus, this rose is disease resistant.
Love & Peace® RoseCare
Love & Peace® Rose should be planted in full sun to maximize its blooming potential. Grow it in moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Water Love & Peace® Rose whenever the soil feels dry. Fertilize this shrub twice per year – once in early spring and once in mid-summer – with a 10-10-10 formulation. Apply a couple of inches of mulch to help the soil maintain moisture and temperature.
Pruning will help Love & Peace® Rose maintain vigorous blooms each year while promoting healthy growth. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Remove any dead wood or crossing branches to create an open, airy form and encourage outward-facing growth. Cut canes down by about a third and remove weak or spindly stems. Deadhead your Love & Peace® Rose regularly during the growing season for reliable repeat blooming.
Love & Peace® Rose will need winter care if planted in a container. Move the pot to an unheated, sheltered location such as a shed. Alternatively, you can apply a heavy layer of mulch to the top of the pot and wrap the sides of the container with burlap.
Love & Peace® Rose Spacing
Love & Peace® Rose should be planted 3-4 feet apart in gardens. Like many hybrid tea roses of its size, this rose should be planted in 15-20 gallon containers.
