McKay's White Potentilla is a hardy perennial that is a long bloomer. Tiny flowers have creamy white petals that surround a yellow center. The flowers start to open in June and will continue to bloom throughout the summer. Potentilla fruticosa is a low-maintenance plant that dependably comes back each year, even when grown in colder climates.

Potentilla is a compact, upright plant with woody stems and a mounded growth habit. This stunner will make a lovely addition to a border, bed, or feature in a container for placement on a porch or patio. The McKay's White Potentilla is a perennial in USDA zones 4 through 8. 

McKay's White Potentilla Care

Potentilla needs full sun for best results. This plant has average water needs and likes damp conditions, so give it a drink when the top layer of soil feels dry. Soil with high organic content will support healthy growth. The ideal soil will also be moist but allow for good drainage. 

Feed this shrub using balanced plant food with a ratio like 10-10-10. You can also support healthy growth by applying a layer of organic compost around the base of the plant. Trim away old growth after the flowers fade to encourage more growth.
