Mini Marvels™ Twilight Bellflower earns its spot by staying truly tiny while blooming for weeks. This Campanula carpatica forms a neat mound and throws blue-and-white bicolor bells from late spring through summer. Mature size is about 6–8 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide. Most bellflowers sprawl or disappear in mixed plantings, but this one holds a clean edge and keeps the flowers visible at the front.
Pollinators show up quickly, especially bees and butterflies, and deer usually leave it alone. The habit stays mounded rather than wandering, so it works in rock gardens and tight borders. It’s also a strong container filler because it doesn’t smother nearby plants. In hot climates, a bit of afternoon shade helps it keep going.
Mini Marvels™ Twilight Bellflower Care
Plant Mini Marvels™ Twilight Bellflower in full sun for maximum bloom, or part sun in warmer zones where midday heat is intense. Set plants in well-drained soil, ideally average to fertile, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH around 6.0–7.0. Position the crown level with the soil surface and firm the soil gently around the roots. Water after planting, then keep moisture even while it establishes. Once rooted in, water when the top inch of soil dries, and avoid soggy conditions. Feed in spring as new growth starts with a light dose of a balanced garden fertilizer, and skip extra feeding if growth is already sturdy.
Deadhead spent flowers to push more buds and keep the mound tidy. Shear lightly after a heavy flush if the plant looks tired, taking off the top inch or two of stems. Leave the basal foliage going into winter, then remove old leaves in early spring before new growth elongates.
Mini Marvels™ Twilight Bellflower Spacing
Space plants 10–12 inches apart in landscape plantings so the mounds can spread without crowding. For container planting, start with a 10–12 inch pot for one plant, or use a 16–18 inch bowl to showcase three as a low, flowering ring. In the landscape, pair it with sea thrift, sedum, and dianthus for a low, sun-loving edge that stays proportional. In containers, combine it with calibrachoa for long-season color and coleus for foliage contrast.
