Achillea filipendulina is a hardy plant that can handle just any about weather, from cold and warm temperatures and drought conditions. This perennial is low maintenance, and once it is established, it does not require much attention.
At 18 to 24 inches tall, this perennial will look best in a spot that can handle taller plants, so feature near the middle or back of a bed where it will not overshadow smaller plants. Remove spent blooms to encourage the plant to rebloom during the summer. Deadheading the plant will also prevent the plant from self-seeding. Prune the Yarrow after the flowers die back to maintain the size.
