Growing Zones
Lovely double blooms that keep coming all summer make the Music Box Rose a vibrant and vivacious landscape plant. The flowers have buttery yellow centers that gradually fade to light pink along the outer edges of the petals. Flowers bloom from June into September. The flowers are offset by glossy green foliage in a medium-green hue.
This shrub rose has a branched woody structure. Use the Music Box Rose as a focal point in a bed, or create a flowering hedge or border. This cultivar is disease resistant for added convenience and beauty. Grow the Music Box Rose as a perennial in zones 4 through 9.
Music Box Rose Care
This robust bloomer needs full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soil. Roses prefer slightly acidic soil. Water new plants consistently for the first growing season. Established plants need a drink every two weeks or more often during a dry spell. Feed monthly during the growing season using a balanced fertilizer or a product formulated for roses.
Trim the shrub to maintain a good shape and promote more growth. Prune the rose during early or mid-spring to encourage more dense branching and blooms.
Music Box Rose Spacing
The Music Box Rose has a full form and reaches 3 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. Leave 5 feet of space between plants so air can flow around the foliage.
