Tolerant to some shade, plant in full to part sun for best results. Soil should be moist and well drained. It is adaptable to most soil types and different PH levels. The water needs for this Weigela are average. Pruning is not needed regularly. If pruning is desired do so immediately after flowering is finished. Fertilizer should be applied in the early spring.
