Want a pure white lilac for that small garden space or container? Reaching a mature height of 5 feet and similar spread this lilac would be perfect. With all the traits of the larger lilacs we love this small lilac packs a punch for its size. 

A compact, upright grower it produces fragrant blossoms in spring on mildew disease resistant plants. Low maintenance and easy to care for once established, this deciduous shrub would make a great hedge, accent planting in the perennial bed. Winter hardy in zones 4 to 7 this lilac would do well in a pot or container with a height and width of at least 24 inches. 

New Age White Lilac Care 

Plant this beautiful lilac in full sun in average, well-drained garden soil. Lilacs appreciate a dusting of hydrated lime (Garden Lime) in late spring, after flowering, followed by an application of cow manure or compost. Water the plant well until established. 

Deadhead immediately after flowering so as not to sacrifice next year's blooms. Prune plant to keep its form and cut any branches that cross one another. If a lilac doesn't bloom it is typically due to insufficient sunlight, lack of nutrients in the soil or improper pruning. 

New Age White Lilac Spacing 

Plant New Age White Lilac at a distance of 2 to 4 feet apart. This compact, upright grower would make an excellent living fence, foundation planting or accent planting in the perennial border. It would do well in a sunny location planted in a pot or container.
