Noble Maiden Lupine is a low growing plant that produces green palmate leaves. From late spring to fall, Noble Maiden produces showy, vertical spikes of ivory white flowers with a hint of cream.

This North American Native grows 2-3 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. Winter Hardy perennial in USDA zones 5-8. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Does well in borders, or intermingled with other sun-loving companion plants such as allium, iris, and little bluestem grasses. Perfect for a cottage garden. Plant in large masses for a bold statement of vertical color in the garden.

Noble Maiden Lupine Care

Plant in full sun to part shade, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Benefits from afternoon shade in hotter climates. Is also known to self-seed.

Noble Maiden Lupine Spacing

This plant has a clumping growing habit. Plant 2-3 feet apart, center on center, to give the plants enough room to grow and have proper air circulation.
