The citrus-scented leaves of the Orange Fizz Scented Geranium are what makes this pelargonium rather extraordinary. Gently rub the leaves between your fingers and you will see what we mean. Growing to two feet high, this pelargonium is perfect for a pot or container or lining a pathway. In summer, Orange Fizz Scented Geranium produces pink blooms with purple splotches.
Drought and heat-tolerant, Orange Fizz Scented Geranium loves the summer sun. It is also fast growing and easy to care for. Originating from South Africa, this pelargonium is tender and needs protection over winter. It looks and smells amazing when placed in a pot on an outdoor dining table.
Orange Fizz Scented Geranium Care
To mimic its home environment, the Orange Fizz Scented Geranium requires full sun. It does not tolerate wet feet and needs a free-draining soil that dries out between watering. You can apply a low-nitrogen fertilizer during the growing season to help promote flowering. As summer draws to a close, you can bring Orange Fizz Scented Geranium inside to a window sill or conservatory to overwinter.
Removing the faded blooms will help more flowers appear until the fall. Excessive growth can be trimmed back to above a leaf to keep it to shape and size.
Orange Fizz Scented Geranium Spacing
A final size of 18 to 24 inches high and 12 to 18 inches wide can be expected of the Orange Fizz Scented Geranium. When grown in a container, a pot diameter of one foot is ideal.
