- Proven Winner 2020 Rose of the Year
Oso Easy Double Red Rose rose is oh so easy to grow and oh so pretty and red. Its large, deep red blooms rise higher above branches than most roses, making the flower stems perfect for cutting and bringing inside. But you don't have to remove them. Oso Easy blooms all summer without trimming of spent blooms. Although it likes moist conditions, the rose bush is bred to resist diseases such as powdery mildew.
Standing nearly 4 feet high and wide, Oso Easy Double Red Rose grows in a mounded shape. The Proven Winners ColorChoice 2020 Rose of the Year makes a statement standing alone but packs a color punch when planted in mass. It is salt tolerant, making it a pretty choice to line a front driveway or sidewalk. Use this rose to add deep red color and height to a large container arrangement.
Oso Easy Double Red Rose Care
Oso Easy Double Red Rose grows well in zones 4 through 9 and does best when planted in full sun. Place it in soil that drains well but add a little mulch around the base of the plant to retain some moisture. The reblooming rose needs no regular deadheading of flowers or much pruning. You can prune it to shape in late winter or early spring.
Oso Easy Double Red Rose Spacing
If including Oso Easy Double Red Rose in a border or mixed border, be sure to give the plant plenty of room to grow and get air. Space it 3 to 4 feet from its center to the center of the closest plant.
