Growing Zones
Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose is one of the easiest roses you can grow. It's also oh so hardy, able to take the cold of zone 3. Easy Hot Paprika is a small shrub for compact spaces or containers. Most of all, it fills with vivid orange flowers. The blooms of Oso Easy Hot Paprika appear from summer through fall on a low-growing shrub. The easy-care rose continues blooming with no deadheading.
Reaching about 2 feet high and wide, little Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose makes a perfect container filler with its season-long color and small shape. It's also good for short borders or as a mass planting — a garden bed filled with orange bursts of color. Bees are attracted to the glowing orange blooms, but the rose is bred to resist diseases that affect most roses. Along with its ability to take cold, Oso Easy Hot can handle the heat of zone 9 and lower.
Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose Care
Plant Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose in full sun, or where it will get at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight a day. The rose needs little care once planted. Like all roses, give it average water, plus a little extra in its first year. The only pruning it needs is cutting back to about half of its size each spring when it's time to prune roses in your area and you see new leaves forming on lower branches. Applying a granular fertilizer formulated for roses or woody plants in early spring will help Oso Easy roses grow and flower.
Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose Spacing
For a mass planting or low border of Oso Easy Hot Paprika Rose shrubs, place the plants about 2 feet apart, measuring from center to center of each rose.
