Growing Zones
The salmon-coral colored petals on this rose will make you think you’re on a tropical vacation in paradise. This low maintenance, compact and disease resistant plant will turn you into a rose lover even if you haven’t grown roses before because you think they’re too much work. This rose will continue to bloom throughout the season without deadheading. Oso Easy Mango Salsa was developed by Chris Warner, a highly-skilled rose breeder from England.
Rosa x 'ChewperAdventure' flowers from early summer through frost on new growth. Its glossy green deciduous leaves shimmer in the sunlight. It thrives in heat and humidity plus it’s salt tolerant. Deer, rabbits and other animals tend to stay away from this plant. This compact rose will reach 1 to 3 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide at maturity in USDA hardiness zones 4 to 9 in full sun conditions.
Oso Easy Mango Salsa Rose Care
Roses are heavy feeders. Add an all-purpose balanced fertilizer or one created specifically for roses in spring. Fertilize again about a month after the first blooms appear. This rose doesn’t need annual pruning unless you want it to retain a specific shape. It’s resistant to many diseases that tend to appear in warm moist climates caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes and other pathogens so no spraying for disease prevention is necessary.
Oso Easy Mango Salsa Rose Spacing
Oso Easy Mango Salsa can be used in mixed perennial beds, as a low growing flowering hedge, at the base of a climbing rose or other climbing plants, in rose gardens and as a container plant on your deck or patio, as a focal point in a garden or near your pool. This rose is drought resistant but will need more frequent watering if planted in a container since containers tend to dry out quickly. Space multiple plants 2 to 4 feet apart.
