This magnificent rose is covered with numerous clusters of single 5 petaled, candy apple red blossoms from summer until frost. This plant is low maintenance and no deadheading is required for continuous blooms. It will create a bright spot in your garden.

Oso Happy Smoothie Rose can be used in perennial or shrub borders, as a specimen plant or in mass plantings. Since it’s thornless, it’s a great choice for containers on your deck, patio, swimming pool or adjacent to narrow walkways where you might accidentally brush up against it. It grows to be 3 feet tall and wide in a mounded form. It’s low maintenance, disease-resistant and drought and salt tolerant. Oso Happy Smoothie Rose was bred by David Zlesak of Minnesota.

Oso Happy Smoothie Rose Care

Add this rose to your landscape in a full sun location in USDA plant hardiness zones 4 to 9. Oso Happy Smoothie Rose will attract songbirds, bees and butterflies to your garden. When the buds begin to swell in the spring, prune it back by a third or more.

Oso Happy Smoothie Rose Spacing

Space plants a minimum of 36 inches apart on center to provide sufficient airflow. In garden planters, choose a container at least 24 inches wide.
