Knock Out roses are among the most popular roses, or for that matter, shrubs. Peachy Knock Out Rose takes all the qualities gardeners love about these easy-care roses and blends them into a peachy pink color reminiscent of ice cream or sherbet. The center of each flower has a touch of yellow just to add to their appeal. And will they ever flower! These long-blooming roses pop with summer color but are easy to grow in zones 4 through 8.
Bred for outstanding disease resistance, Peachy Knock Out Rose can be a star of a container, focal front yard shrub, or planted in mass. The more the better for you and the bees they can attract. The shrubs will grow to about 3 or 4 feet high and wide and the branches fill with green leaves in spring. They flower from late spring to late summer, and you don’t need to remove faded flowers. Yes, they are that easy!
Peachy Knock Out Rose Care
In spring or fall, plant your rose in a sunny spot, one that gets at least 6 hours of sunshine a day. They will grow best in neutral soil (pH of 5.5 to 6.5) that drains well. If you choose to grow your rose in a container, choose one that is at least two sizes up from the size of the pot it comes in. Water the roses regularly beginning in late spring as they begin to leaf out and throughout their flowering season. They can take some brief periods of drought, but do best with consistent watering, depending on rain, heat, and other conditions.
Knock Out roses do best with a balanced fertilizer or one designed specifically for roses. Fertilize about once a month and only when the soil is wet. Stop feeding the shrub in late summer so it can stop growing and begin its winter rest. When new growth appears in spring, prune your rose for shape. Every few years, prune it harder, removing nearly two-thirds of the
Peachy Knock Out Rose Spacing
Space your Peachy Knock Out Roses at least 3 feet apart, even in a mass planting. That gives them room to grow and to get air circulation.
