Add some late season punch to your garden with Pink Crush New England Aster. This plant is not your average purplish blue, yellow centered aster. Vibrant deeply fuchsia frilly flowers cover Pink Crush New England Aster giving it a distinct look. This medium-height shrub will celebrate the twilight of the gardening season in style. Pink Crush New England Aster will give some serious fall interest to your garden flowering from early to late fall.

This shrub has a mounded habit that will fit in easily, complimenting any garden in borders or mass plantings. Dark green foliage gives way to its frilly aster flowers in shades of pink and fuchsia. Pink Crush New England Aster late season flowers will bring all the friendly pollinators to your yard and will provide them with much needed late season forage.

Pink Crush New England Aster Care

This shrub prefers a location in full sun but will also tolerate part sun and shaded locations. Full sun will promote an abundance of flowers. Pink Crush New England Aster is easy to care for, water well until established when it will require average watering needs. Hardy from zone 3a-8b, the shrub will reward some low maintenance initial care and establishment with years of perennial growth and blooms!

To promote a bushy, compact habit covered in flowers, pinch the plant back as a young plant 1-2 times up until early July. The plant should stand-alone but may benefit from staking until fully mature. Plants can be left after blooming through winter for pollinator habitat or winter interest, cut back in early spring. For a tidier winter look, cut back asters in late fall after flowers and foliage have died.

Pink Crush New England Aster Spacing

This shrub is on the small to medium height range reaching 20 to 24 inches with a densely bushy spread of 34 – 38 inches. In mass plantings space plants about 34 inches apart.
