The lovely lacecap flowers of the Pink Dynamo™ Mountain Hydrangea are a light pink around the edges with white and yellow accents near the center. The flowers of the Mountain Hydrangea bloom on reddish stems and are surrounded by broad foliage with serrated edges in a deep purplish-black hue. Enjoy the showy flowers all summer long while this plant continues to bloom.
This cultivar has an upright mounded growth habit and a compact form, so feature it near the front or middle of a bed so the stunning blooms and foliage can be on full display. This shrub will make a lovely addition to a border, bed, or mass planting. Butterflies enjoy the blooms, so consider featuring this plant in a butterfly garden. The blooms can be trimmed for use in arrangements. The Pink Dynamo™ Mountain Hydrangea is a hardy perennial that thrives in USDA zones 5 through 9.
Pink Dynamo™ Mountain Hydrangea Care
Plant in an area that receives 4 to 6 hours of sunlight. This plant prefers moist but well-drained soil that is rich and acidic. Water weekly or when the soil dries out. A layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant will keep the soil damp longer.
Prune to remove damaged growth in the spring. Periodically remove older growth every few years. Apply a balanced plant food in the spring to encourage more prolific flowering.
Pink Dynamo™ Mountain Hydrangea Spacing
This darling upright perennial will reach 2 to 3 feet tall and wide. Space shrubs as close as 30 to 36 inches apart when creating a dense planting.
