The Pinky Pollen Ring™ Hydrangea adds excellent summertime color to a landscape and requires very little care. This perennial features delicate lacecap blooms in a light pink hue. The flower clusters grow on solid and woody stems and are offset by broad, deep green foliage. Flowers bloom from May through midsummer, although you may be treated to additional blooms through September. Let the flowers dry on the stem for striking winter color.

This Hydrangea has an upright growth habit and a naturally mounded appearance. This beauty will look amazing in beds, mass plantings, or borders. At 4 to 5 feet tall and wide, you can also use this perennial to create a hedge or foundation planting. The Pinky Pollen Ring™ Hydrangea is a perennial in zones 3 through 8, and pollinators like butterflies love the lacecap blooms. The Hydrangea arborescens is easy to maintain and native to North America, so once this plant has had time to acclimate, it is very hands-off in terms of care.

Pinky Pollen Ring™ Hydrangea Care

This Hydrangea prefers partial shade, but it can handle some direct light. Avoid planting in areas that receive intense afternoon sun. Soil should be rich and moist but still, allow for good drainage. Feed this shrub using a water-soluble fertilizer to support continued growth every few weeks.

Remove dead or damaged growth as needed. This plant blooms on new growth, so trim the shrub back every couple of years at the end of the growing season to encourage more growth and flowers the following year.

Pinky Pollen Ring™ Hydrangea Spacing

The Pinky Pollen Ring™ Hydrangea is an upright shrub that will grow 4 to 5 feet tall and wide. Plant this Hydrangea 3 to 4 feet apart from other shrubs to create a continuous mass planting.
