The Pretticoats™ Peach Geum is a long-blooming beauty that puts on an impressive floral display. The gently nodding flowers have ruffled petals in a warm yellow hue with delicate pink margins. Thin, green stems fade to a dark pinkish-red near the base of the bloom. Broad, ruffled basal foliage is a deep green. This dependable plant pushes out striking flowers from April through September.

Geum is a clump-forming, mounded perennial. Use this plant in mass plantings, beds, or borders to add color and texture all summer long. This beauty can be used in containers to add drama to a porch or balcony. Trim the flowers to use in arrangements. Pollinators are attracted to the flowers, but the foliage is generally not preferred by foraging animals. The Pretticoats™ Peach Geum is a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 9.

Pretticoats™ Peach Geum Care

Full sun to partial shade is necessary for the Pretticoats™ Peach Geum to thrive. Water weekly or when the top few inches of soil dries out. Use rich, moist soil that drains well because this beauty doesn't like wet feet.

Remove spent flowers during the blooming cycle to promote more blooms. You may want to leave some flowers to allow the plant to self-seed or provide a food source for birds. All of the growth can be trimmed back in the fall after the flowers are done blooming.

Pretticoats™ Peach Geum Spacing

This upright perennial reaches 10 to 12 inches tall and 18 to 20 inches wide. Plants can be grown 18 to 20 inches apart to create a lush planting, or feature one plant is a 12- to 14-inch container.
