The crisp white flowers begin to bloom in the late spring, and they are followed by fruit that is loved by birds. Native to North America, the Red Rover Silky Dogwood grows to a height of forty-eight to sixty inches and has a spread of forty-eight to sixty inches. Plant in any landscape for a beautiful addition. This dogwood will do well with mass planting and is a perfect thriller plant for containers.
Red Rover Silky Dogwood Care
Wherever you chose to plant your Red Rover Silky Dogwood it is sure to thrive. Wet soils aren’t a problem for this dogwood. It is adaptable to all soils and PH levels. Plant in full sun to part shade ensuring it receives minimum 4 hours of sun per day. Pruning is not necessary. If desired, trim to shape after flowering is finished. Controlled release fertilizer should be applied in the spring.
