The abundant red fruit is ready for harvesting in the fall. When fresh, the berries are bitter. To obtain sweet berries, dry them out in a bright spot or in a dehydrator. The Red Zeppelin Goji Berry prefers soil that is neutral to slightly alkaline. This deciduous shrub should be staked and tied. In the spring the tied point should be moved up. Pruning should take place in the spring by 4”-6” inches to encourage flank branching and optimal flowering and fruiting. Fertilizing regularly in the spring and summer is recommended.
