Reminiscent Yellow Rose (Rosa x 'ChewGoldRush') adds a golden glow to gardens with large, ruffled blooms that perfume the air throughout summer. Each flower displays rich, buttery petals around coppery stamens, creating a timeless appeal. Reaching about 3 to 4½ feet, this upright shrub easily becomes a highlight in borders or containers. We've been impressed by its reliable performance and heady fragrance, which make it a must-have for sunny landscapes.

Reminiscent Yellow Rose offers notable disease resistance and thrives in a variety of soils. Proven Winners® introduced it as part of a new generation of easy-care roses, giving more gardeners the chance to enjoy old-fashioned blooms without fuss. Plant it as a standalone focal point, group it to form a low hedge, or feature it among other flowering shrubs for a cottage-style setting. The abundant petals also make ideal cut flowers to brighten indoor arrangements.

Reminiscent Yellow Rose Care

Choose a location with at least six hours of direct sun daily, and work organic matter into the planting site for improved drainage. Slightly acidic to neutral soil, along with moderate watering, keeps this rose strong and full of blooms. Consistent moisture is best, but avoid standing water around roots. An application of balanced, rose-specific fertilizer in early spring supports healthy growth.

Prune lightly in early spring, cutting back canes by about one-third to stimulate new shoots. Container-grown plants need a quality potting mix and watering whenever the top inch of soil feels dry. A layer of mulch around the base helps to preserve soil moisture and protect the root zone. In colder climates, you can mound extra mulch around the crown once the ground freezes and remove it when spring temperatures rise.

Reminiscent Yellow Rose Spacing

Leave about 3 to 4 feet between each plant for good air circulation if creating a border or hedge. A single specimen benefits from an equally wide radius on all sides to showcase its shape. If potting up, select a container at least 14 inches across to accommodate the root ball and support its mature growth.
