Stonecrop or Sedum is a low-maintenance stunner. This plant flourishes in low-quality soil and essentially prefers to be left alone, making it an excellent plant for challenging landscapes or gardeners who don’t want to be very involved. Rock 'N Grow® 'Tiramisu' Stonecrop boasts narrow, bronze foliage, pink stems that turn green with age, and pink buds that open to reveal cream-colored flowers. Expect this plant to bloom in the late summer or early fall, adding visual interest at a time when many other plants are winding down.
Rock 'N Grow® 'Tiramisu' Stonecrop is an upright plant that grows as a perennial in USDA zones 3 through 9. This heat-tolerant plant is commonly used in borders, mass plantings, landscapes, and containers. Sedum is rabbit-resistant, so it is a good option for areas prone to hungry nuisance animals, but it is great at attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Rock N Grow® Tiramisu Stonecrop Sedum Care
Stonecrop thrives in full sun, so select an area that receives plenty of direct light during the day. This plant likes to dry out, so use well-draining soil and only water established plants during an extended dry period. Sedum grown in a container will need water when several top inches of soil dry out. The soil pH can be acidic, alkaline, or neutral, and the soil quality can be average or poor. Do not fertilize Stonecrop.
New growth can be pinched back before the plant blooms to promote a fuller plant. Remove spent flowers to maintain a neat appearance.
Rock N Grow® Tiramisu Stonecrop Sedum Spacing
Rock 'N Grow® 'Tiramisu' Stonecrop is a medium-sized plant that naturally grows in a dome shape. This plant will be 18 to 20 inches tall and 30 to 32 inches wide. Space plants 30 to 32 inches apart from other plants and buildings to avoid overcrowding.
