Rozanne Hardy Geranium is different from most varieties of the popular garden plant. Though many geraniums have to come inside during winter months in all but the warmest regions, this hardy geranium is a perennial in zones 5 through 8. It can take the winter cold and summer heat of these growing regions. The tough little plant rewards gardeners with a flush of violet blue flowers all summer with no extra work on the gardener's part.

Butterflies love the mass of flowers on Rozanne Hardy Geranium, but deer and rabbits tend to leave the plant alone. Since it grows to only about 2 feet high, Rozanne makes a lovely container filler or low border plant. Plant several in front of taller shrubs for a pretty summer-long color addition to garden beds. The easy-care plant has real flower power, with its bunches of small purple blooms with light centers.

Rozanne Hardy Geranium Care

Rozanne Hardy Geranium will grow in any soil type, even poor soil. It needs average and regular water, especially during peak summer heat. The plant does well in full sun or a little shade. The flowers self-clean, so this geranium keeps blooming with no deadheading. To improve blooming even more, apply a balanced fertilizer to your garden or container Rozanne in spring or add an organic compost to the soil around the base of the plant. Prune the geranium down near the base of the plant after it finishes flowering in fall or in early spring.

Rozanne Hardy Geranium Spacing

Rozanne Hardy Geranium fills out into a bushy, mounded shape once established. If you want to plant several together or near another shrub, space the plants about 15 to 20 inches apart from their centers.

The customer service has been from another galaxy- in a good way. The plant hasn’t bloomed yet, so I can’t fully review it.
