  • Height 1-3 Feet Tall
  • Spread 1-3 Feet Wide
  • Light Requirement is Full Sun

This plant produces multiple show-stopping bright bi-colored yellow and red flowers along its stems in early spring. It’s the perfect plant to jump-start color in your garden and drive away your winter blues. Sister Disco Scotch Broom is deer resistant and drought and salt tolerant making it a great choice to plant along the road and salt-treated walkways.

This deciduous plant reaches 1 to 3 feet tall and wide at maturity and grows in an upright mounding habit that slightly weeps over. After the flowers fade, the bright tiny green leaves make it an attractive textural shrub for summer and fall interest in your landscape. The seed pods create interest after the leaves have dropped in the fall. Plant Sister Disco® Cytisus scoparius 'SMNCSCRY' USPPAF in a sunny location in USDA hardiness zones 5 to 8.

Sister Disco Scotch Broom Care

Sister Disco Scotch Broom is low to no maintenance and does not need pruning. The flowers appear on old wood so if you do any pruning, make sure to do it soon after the flowers fade to avoid cutting away next year’s blossoms. The flowers can be added to bouquets.

Sister Disco Scotch Broom Spacing

This plant makes a great companion to spring-flowering bulbs because they bloom around the same time. It can be used to create low borders, as a specimen plant, in perennial or shrub gardens and in containers. Space multiple plants 3 feet apart on center. This plant is not recommended for the northwestern US.

    Hmm...

Posted by Customer on Jun 26, 2020

for the price a believed I would be receiving this scotch broom in something bigger then a coffee cup size pot. I Have been following the directions in taking care of these plants but I am concerned that the green foliage is turning brown. They are pretty and look forward to them blooming come spring.
