Select a site that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight for vigorous growth and more intense fall color. While adaptable, it prefers well-draining soil and regular watering, particularly during the first few seasons. Once established, it copes with short dry spells, though consistent moisture helps keep its leaves lush. A light application of balanced fertilizer in early spring can bolster new growth, especially if the soil is less than ideal. Adding mulch around the root zone helps maintain moisture levels and deters weeds, but leave the trunk uncovered for healthy airflow.

Most often, Skinny Fit Ginkgo requires little pruning. If needed, remove any crossing or damaged branches in late winter or early spring.
