Sky Pencil Japanese Holly, Ilex crenata ‘Sky Pencil’, is a low maintenance evergreen shrub, with a narrow, columnar form. Works well for tight spaces. Can be pruned to emphasize its columnar form for a more formal look. Uses for this versatile shrub includes container plantings, privacy screen or accent plant. Works well as a formal hedge where there is limited space. Leaves are more like boxwood than more traditional hollies.
