The unique tubular Snapdragon flowers are always impressive, but the Snapshot™ Orange Snapdragon gives just a little bit extra. This Antirrhinum majus 'Orange' has lovely deep orange blooms with a soft yellow eye. The flowers grow densely along tall, upright stems, and if their good looks weren’t enough, the flowers also have a sweet scent. Flowers bloom in spring and again during late summer or fall.

The mounded growth habit allows this plant to work well in a mixed bed or border. The flower spikes are just under one foot tall, but the plant still makes an impressive showing. Use the Snapshot™ Orange Snapdragon as a filler in a container. You won’t be the only one to admire the flowers because pollinators, like bees and hummingbirds, also enjoy them.

Snapshot™ Orange Snapdragon Care

Plant snapdragons in rich, neutral soil that is moist and well drained. Keep the soil damp, especially for the first several weeks. Acclimated plants like a lot of moisture but avoid overly wet conditions. Plant in full sun for best results. Apply a slow-release fertilizer in the spring and again around midsummer.

Trim flower stalks when the flowers fade to clean up the appearance and encourage more blooms. Prune the plant gradually or give it a rejuvenating trim by midsummer to remove overgrowth.

Snapshot™ Orange Snapdragon Spacing

Snapshot™ Orange Snapdragons stand 6 to 10 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches wide. Space these Snapdragons 10 to 12 inches apart in a mass planting.
